All conference sessions will be held at the LABRANDA Resort Velaris&Village which is located on the north side of the island of Brac, in town of Supetar, in Vela Luka bay. Brac Island is the longest and most elevated island in central Dalmatia, 48km long, 14 km wide, covering 394 square kilometres. Brac is most famous for its beautiful white building stone which has been exploited since ancient Rome. Diocletian's Palace in Split was built from Brac stone and it is still used in the construction of buildings as far afield as Europe and north America. Supetar is the main port of entry on Brac Island as well as its administrative centre. Fertile surrounding countryside with vineyards, olive groves and orchards, pine woods all along the coast, lovely bays with sandy beaches (particularly the bay of Vlacica) make Supetar an excellent base to explore the island.

Travel Information

Supetar is very easy to find. It has an excellent ferry link with Split and ferries come and go frequently through the day until midnight. Each ferry ride will take you to Supetar within an hour. See the Split-Supetar ferry timetable.
