Sljedeći korak u „Odiseji“ Skupa – Konvencije FiberWeek
FiberWeek Convention je NAJVEĆI događaj u području optičke tehnologije, tehnike i telekomunikacija u jugoistočnoj Europi koji okuplja sudionike iz cijelog svijeta. Godine 2023. ne samo da je dočekala raznoliku publiku, već je i prevladala brojne izazove, označivši značajnu prekretnicu kao prvu konferenciju nakon pandemije.
17. skup FiberWeek Convention održao se od 25. do 27. travnja u očaravajućoj Labrandi Velaris Resort na otoku Braču. Konferencija se bavila raznim temama koje obuhvaćaju regulaciju, standardizaciju, planiranje, projektiranje, financiranje, uvođenje, upravljanje i usluge povezane sa širokopojasnim pristupom.
Ovo je stvorilo jedinstvenu priliku za sudionike da raspravljaju o znanstvenim dostignućima i umreže se sa stručnjacima iz industrije, što je rezultiralo pozitivnim odazivom i zadovoljstvom gostiju. Dok se pripremamo za konvenciju FiberWeek 2024., zaronimo u ključne naglaske.
Sesije i teme Skupa FiberWeek 2023
Konferencija je otvorena predavanjima o ključnim temama, uključujući pregled pristupa sljedeće generacije (NGA) u Hrvatskoj, digitalizaciju gospodarstva i ulogu mreža vrlo velikog kapaciteta (VHCN). Na sesijama se govorilo o relevantnim statističkim pokazateljima i utjecaju Europskog gigabitnog društva.
Sudionici su se bavili ključnim temama, poput razvoja gigabitnih mreža, konvergencije fiksnih i mobilnih mreža, financijskih instrumenata iz Europske unije i postavljanja optičke infrastrukture za Gigabitno društvo. Rasprave su također bile usredotočene na značaj povratnih mreža optičkih vlakana, napredak u uvođenju FTTH-a i modele ulaganja.
Razmjena znanja i informacija na okruglim stolovima
Pored ostalog, vrhunsko obilježje konvencije FiberWeek 2023. bile su rasprave za okruglim stolom, koje su istaknutim govornicima i sudionicima pružile priliku da se uključe u detaljne razgovore. Ove sesije pokrile su niz tema, od provedbe sufinanciranih FTTH projekata do izazova u projektiranju mreže, središnjih mrežnih čvorova i stručnog nadzora izgradnje.

Unatoč globalnim i regionalnim poteškoćama, 17. konvencija o optičkoj tehnologiji i tehnici okupila je međunarodne lidere, potvrđujući svoju poziciju višestruke platforme za razmjenu znanja i umrežavanje unutar zajednice optičkih tehnologija. Govornici su pridonijeli da se konferencija pretvori u proslavu znanosti, prakse i druženja.

In 2023, it not only welcomed a diverse audience but also overcame multiple challenges, marking a significant milestone as the first post-pandemic conference.
The 17th FiberWeek Conference unfolded between April 25 and 27 at the charming Labranda Velaris Resort on Brač Island. The conference delved into various topics spanning regulation, standardization, planning, designing, financing, roll-out, management, and services related to broadband access.

FiberWeek Convention 2023 Conference Sessions and Themes
The conference opened with lectures on critical subjects, including an overview of next-generation access (NGA) in Croatia, digitalization of the economy, and the role of Very High-Capacity Networks (VHCN). The sessions covered relevant statistical indicators and the influence of the European Gigabit Society.
Participants delved into critical topics, such as the development of gigabit networks, the convergence of fixed and mobile networks, financial instruments from the European Union, and the deployment of fiber infrastructure for the Gigabit Society. Discussions also focused on the significance of fiber optic backhaul networks, progress in FTTH roll-outs, and investment models.
Exchanging Knowledge and Information on Round Table Discussions
Among the highlights of FiberWeek Convention 2023 were the round table discussions, offering distinguished speakers and participants the chance to engage in in-depth conversations. These sessions covered a spectrum of topics, from implementing co-financed FTTH projects to challenges in network design, central network nodes, and expert construction supervision.
Speakers brought their expertise to issues like performance testing, documentation requirements, and phased billing by contractors. These probing discussions also explored the impact of inflation on project costs and the need for compensatory measures, providing insights into the nuanced challenges faced in the dynamic landscape of broadband infrastructure development.
